Rionnagan Gaoil

Rionnagan Gaoil (Stars of Love) and Tilleadh (The Returning) , both videos I created and part of the programme ‘Passages’, coordinated by Fields and Frames in the early 90s, are to have a one-off screening at Street Level, Wednesday 21st April, 7pm as part of Glasgow International Festival of Visual Arts. BEL CANTO

Bel Canto

The new album by Eilidh Mackenzie is out now. Downloadable from www.gaelicmusic.com and available in shops from 5th October. I created the cover, inspired by "Bel Canto" written by Ann Patchett. Eilidh has adapted Patchett's story , transferred it to Gaelic Scotland and composed 14 original tracks around the narrative themes of love, music, identity, language and communication.

Bel Canto receives its first airplay Thurs 17th Sept- on "Fowlis and Folk" (Radio Scotland 8.05 -10pm). THe first stage performance is on 25th Nov at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness.

Janet De Vigne and Ishbel Henderson

Bane is a short film created for this year's 48hr Film Festival. It tells the story of a woman who is tormented by a guilty secret, involving the death of a child. Directed by Gareth Peevers, written by Gareth Peevers and David Hutchison. This is child actor Ishbel Henderson's debut , working alongside Slumdog Millionaire actor Janet De Vigne . Division X

Division X, written by Gareth Peevers and myself got into the first round of the Page Awards. Set in Edinburgh, it is the pilot of a TV series centred around a transsexual detective wrestling with his decision to come out as a woman who must hunt a serial killer preying on transsexuals.

 

SCI-FI 48hr

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming is the Eyedoll Production team's entry into this years Sci-fi London 48 hour film challenge. This year the competition was opened up to around the UK. We were given the title; Lucid Dreaming , a line of dialogue to use;"You can't really believe what you see", and had to include a product with the Canon logo (sticker on the robot). It was recently screened at the Leith Short Film Festival 2010
